Practical Information

Prepare your stay

Read and download the guide (French and English)

From the time you start planning your trip up to your arrival in Le Havre, we have plenty of tips on how to explore the city, the Discovery Tours and the best places to eat and sleep.

During A Summer in Le Havre, there will be a number of different tours to help you discover the city, depending on what interests you, how you plan to get around and how long you will be here. Imagine, from sunrise to sunset, taking in the city’s works of art, visiting brand new exhibitions in some exceptional venues, observing the urban landscape and its marine skyline, cycling down the quays and crossing the harbor basin on a boat. The next day, continue your visit to discover other contemporary creations and curiosities. The works on show at MuMa, the French Lines collections and Niemeyer’s architecture will all leave their own, very special impression.

Looking for a custom weekend deal for your couple or family? Contact the tourist office: they can help you find the accommodation you want and make your stay a success, whether you are after a Perret-style apartment, a designer hotel or an establishment full of charm with its own spa. Downtown, by the beach or in a more unexpected location, our cafe owners and restauranteurs will show you another side of the city during an aperitif with friends or as you sample the fish, seafood, cheeses, desserts and other delicacies that make the reputation of Normandy’s cuisine. With A Summer in Le Havre, you’ll want to stay longer!
