The day of the great anniversary
On October 2017, Le Havre will celebrate the 500th anniversary of Francis I’s signature of the charters founding the city.
To celebrate half a millenium in style, the inauguration of installation Le Temps Suspendu [Time Suspended] will give to Le Havre residents the opportunity to look for their portrait amidst a giant face gallery, as well as have their first glimpse at a pathway specially designed for this unique occasion, winding through the various sections of the Suspended Gardens. A botanic journey shaped by sound and sights, as poetic as it is sensual, itself a guide inviting each visitor to follow it through a myriad of universes.
The experience will feature a soundtrack composed by Ulysse Klotz, inflatable structures by architect Hans Walter Müller and a speckling of musical performances, most notably with David Lynch’s muse, the singer Chrysta Bell or Mieko Miyazaki, Laurent Bardainne, Maxime Delpierre, Mark Kerr and Maxence Cyrin.
